Che Guevara: Icon for Socialism or Vehicle for Capitalism?

The New Republic magazine examines the irony of the Che phenomena where he has become a quiessential capitalist brand, the exact system that he tried to destroy.
This was posted last year on nomadlife. I had read it with great interest but couldnt find the article again until recently. I wanted to share it with you all.
Perhaps it will help in providing understanding and clarity to those who adorn themselves with Che badges and t-shirts without any inkling of knowledge as to why he exists as a charismatic symbol in their life.

you should research more than just a simple article from greedy peruvian vargas llosa. he could be the most famous writter in peru, but he's not the correct person to sumarize che's life.
in fact you should know he were betrayed but his own party.
furthemore i have to tell you than more than a slayer as vargas llosa said he should have prefered no to use violence and of course he have done much more pacific things than just fighting with capitalism.
yes its true he didnt like it, but its also true he prefered to help South americans to get a better live quality. i dont consider che as a "revolucionario" neither a terrorist but an humanistic person. so please i really beg you not to continue posting this kind of things because there has been enough murder people in south america and its my duty to make sure they get the respect they deserve. there;s people who respect him without using a t shirt with his photo or showing a tatoo in the arm.
