Beware of dodgy market interviewers - Part 2
Okay, so yesturday the marketing guy came back to pick up the survey. Here's the conversation
"Here you go."
"Oh you're done."
"Yup"
"Can I have you phone number?"
"Huh? What do you need it for?"
"*Mumble* Can I have your phone number please?"
I give him my home number
"Can I have your cellphone number please?"
"Sorry, I don't know my cellphone number"
"How can you not know your cellphone number?"
"I lost my cellphone"
"Oh you lost your cellphone?"
"Uh...YES! I lost my cellphone, I don't have a cellphone number"
"Oh okay, do you want my phone number? You can call me when you graduate and we can eat cake"
At that point I just stared at him blankly and gently close the front door.
That's the last time I'm nice to market interviewers. Now I know why people don't like doing door to door surveys. Sorry marketers, but you're going to have to come up with a new way to get market research.
